Privacy policy

This policy describes the AweClip iPhone and iPad app. Effective date: October 11, 2026.

Your stories stay in the app

AweClip lets you import videos, arrange scenes, choose Frame 0, add end cards, and export movies. The current app requires no account and contains no advertising or analytics SDK. It does not track you or send your projects, imported media, or usage information to its developer.

Local storage and removal

AweClip stores project information, imported copies of media, saved end-card templates and library media, and exported files in its local app storage. Removing a scene or choosing Clear Clips removes it from the story; it does not erase its imported media file from local storage. Deleting a saved end-card library item removes that library copy, while copies already used in projects remain separate.

Removing the app removes its local app data from that device. Files saved to Photos, Files, shared destinations, or backups are separate copies and must be managed through those services. AweClip does not promise a fixed automatic deletion period for local project media or exports.

Photos, Files, and sharing

Importing through Apple's Photos picker lets you choose the videos or end-card images and videos you provide. You can also select files through the system Files interface. AweClip requests add-only Photos access when you choose to save a movie or image there. You can choose a destination through the system share interface.

Available storage

AweClip checks available device storage to detect insufficient space for imports or exports and explain storage errors. That information stays on the device.

System services and copies outside AweClip

Apple's Photos picker may retrieve selected iCloud media. Device backups, Photos or Files synchronization, system diagnostics, and destinations you choose when sharing may process information under Apple's or the selected provider's policies. AweClip's developer does not control those services.
